Our fleet
A Year 1 fleet of three aircraft, with two more types joining as the network grows.
We start small and fly what each route actually needs, rather than one aircraft type stretched across every sector. The Year 1 fleet is two ATR 42-600s and one Embraer ERJ135, chosen for the domestic and near-regional network we launch with.
The ATR 42-600 flies the core domestic network — Likoma Island, Mzuzu and the Mfuwe regional service. It takes 48 passengers, copes comfortably with our shorter runways, and gives us the redundancy of two airframes across four routes.
The Embraer ERJ135 covers the Lilongwe–Blantyre shuttle, our highest-frequency route, where a smaller regional jet suits the twice-daily business timetable.
Year 2 adds the ATR 72-600 for the Lusaka and Harare launches. Year 3 adds the Boeing 737-800, sized for the longer Johannesburg, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam sectors and their belly-hold cargo.
Our target from day one is 85%+ on-time performance, with maintenance and operating procedures built to IOSA and EASA Part-145 standards as the airline scales.
